Advising a major German company on a claim and cross-claim regarding the Australian Consumer Law (alleged defective products) of the United Nations Convention for the International sale of goods (Vienna Convention) Judgement was entered for our client, the cross-claim was discussed and cost orders were made in our client’s favour.
Acting for the plaintiff in NSW Supreme Court proceedings relating to alleged misleading and deceptive conduct by an accountant to our client in respect of an investment in a restaurant in which the accountant was also an investor. After a contested hearing our client’s claim was successful, and judgment was awarded in the sum of $2,912,713.02 plus interest and costs.
